In between Manfred Mann and Manfred Mann's Earthband was Chapter Three an experimental jazz rock band from 1969 to 1970, founded by Manfred Mann and long-time partner Mike Hugg. They debuted at Newcastle Mayfair on 24th October 1969 and lasted until late 1970 and recorded two albums which failed to chart.
